Meet The Operator
My name is Ashton Sjolie, and I am the third-year operator with Scholars Edge Painting here in Prince George, where I’ve had the opportunity to develop not only my technical and leadership skills, but also a strong foundation in what it truly means to run a business with integrity and purpose. Over the years, I’ve learned that success isn’t accidental—it’s built through consistency, accountability, and a willingness to learn from every experience. Being an operator has pushed me outside my comfort zone and challenged me to think like an entrepreneur, sharpening skills that I know will serve me well long into the future.
At the core of my ambitions is a deep interest in the business world, paired with a constant drive for self-improvement. I am motivated by growth—financially, mentally, and professionally—and I take pride in setting high standards for myself. One of my greatest motivations is my family; everything I work toward is grounded in the desire to support them and create long-term stability and opportunity. I believe that discipline, structure, and showing up every day with intention are non-negotiables when it comes to building a meaningful life and career.
Outside of work, I have always enjoyed staying active and following sports. I previously played soccer and rugby, experiences that introduced me to teamwork and commitment at a young age. Today, sports are more of a personal interest than a defining influence on how I operate, with hockey being something I genuinely enjoy as a fan. The NHL is a passion of mine, providing a way to unwind, stay engaged, and enjoy competition from a spectator’s perspective.

To me, relentless improvement means committing to steady, intentional progress—always looking for ways to refine my habits, mindset, and performance.
